'A love of learning for life in all its fullness'
World Book Day celebrated at Crosby Ravensworth School
Every child throughout the school dressed as a book character to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March. The children were joined by local author, Kay Lord, who read her book, 'Crumble the comfort cat' and gave out signed copies. The book encourages youngsters to share their anxieties with others rather than letting them build up.
On Friday all the children, including the pre-schoolers, visited Penrith Library for a series of workshops. Those without library cards were able to sign-up and take out books to read at home.
