Compass Points
Do you know what a compass is? Do you have one at home? If so, dig it out and have a look at it. It can help us to find our route to somewhere and also where we are now (along with a map).
Now watch the video and play the game to learn the points of a compass.
To practice your compass skills, you can:
- draw a compass on a hard ground surface outside or write north, south, east, west on pieces of paper and lay them in the right places spread out. Now get an adult to give you directions to these compass points, eg. 3 steps north, 2 steps to the west and 1 step south.
