Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the warm weather.
We'll hold a class kahoot quiz about identifying flowers and also one on naming the parts of a flower (plant reproduction) on Thursday at 11am this week. As ever, this is just for fun so please do join in and have a giggle with your classmates.
New Oak Academy Lessons
The 'Oak Academy' platform has been receiving excellent reviews from schools across the country. Having looked at their content closely, I think you might enjoy trying a switch from Bitesize.
The link to their classroom is here.
Select your year group, then 'Schedule'. I suggest you pick the English, Foundation and Maths lessons each day. Feel free to have a look at the fourth lesson as well, although please leave it out if it proves a little too much as I usually add details of another lesson each day as well (little bit of something else).
You'll also notice there are buttons to click through to weekly assemblies and activity clubs. These often feature some famous faces!
Little bit of something else - ART
Today, you're going to learn about the basics of producing 'exciting' paintings. When painting, it can be hard to imagine how you will make your piece of work stand out against others. It can be useful to look at the work of famous artists and get inspiration from how they achieved it. You're going to take a look at three artists - Andy Warhol, Wassily Kandinsky and Jan van Eyck.
Visit the link here to go to the webpage where you'll read more about this and watch videos to inspire you. There are three activities to try. I'd love to put your artwork into the Hall of Fame - please send in any pictures to the usual email address.
