Maths lesson - Adding and Subtracting Money
Log onto the espresso website and play matching coins, this game will help your child to recognise the coins. They could then play the game 'ordering coins' too.
Set up a mini shop. Give your child some coins and have some items labelled with prices up to 20p. Role play your child coming into the shop and buying two items. They can use a numberline to add the amounts together. They then need to work out which coins to pay with and they may also need to work out the change. Again they can do this on a numberline by subtracting.
