50 word descriptive writing challenge

Click on the link above.

Watch Steve Backshall explaining how he was inspired to write descriptively about the coast around him.  He made a list of twelve useful words before he started.  Here they are:

Here is your task...

1) Go outside of your front door with a notebook and a pencil

2) Make a list of twelve words to describe what you see and what you hear outside.  It should be very different to the list Steve Backshall made.  Are the noises around you angry or friendly?

3) What can you hear?  What signs of life are there - birds / insects / plants?

4) What colours do you see?  What could you compare them to?

Now, use your twelve words just like Steve did - have a go at putting the into your own descriptive piece of writing.  Steve's final piece was only 36 words long.  Can you be creative in less than 50 words?

PLEASE send in your work so I can put it in the Hall of Fame.  We can't let Class 1 run away with it!
