Sporting success for Crosby at Morland tournament
It's been a long time coming but on Wednesday night, both our sporting teams made the semi-finals of an inter-school tournament. The successes came at the Morland Shield.
The netballers reached the semis of their tournament and were finally knocked-out after a nail-biting shoot-off that followed a goalless draw with Bolton. This came after a league win against Warcop and a draw against Morland.
The footballers went a step further, reaching a thrilling final against Warcop which was eventually lost by a single goal with the last kick of the match. The team had previously beaten Long Marton in the semi-final and had wins against Culgaith and Morland and a draw with Warcop in the early rounds.
Well done to all our sporting heroes. Can we take it a step further next time?
