Miscreants in the mud
This afternoon the children joined with children from Asby Endowed school for a Wilding Theatre workshop with Miscreations. On Thursday they will be seeing the show but had to help prepare it and provide some sounds.
The children had to prowl and howl like wolves whilst hunting for natural objects to make music with. Then they were recorded using these items and their voices to make a lullaby for the play.
Next, they had to imagine they were passing through a tree and down into the earth. They went through a door and along a passage where some of them had stories of creatures they met on their journey.
Finally, children were able to volunteer to make some cob for a giant’s head. This will be part of the stage for the play. They had to mix soil, sand, water and straw. This was then slapped onto a frame.
