We delight in seeing children shine both inside and outside of the classroom. Please scroll below to read stories of community, courage and compassion.
The children really enjoyed working with a metal detector at after school club last night. They had a great time….an hour wasn’t long enough apparently!!!!
Firstly Simon showed some of the coins and things he has found.
Everyone then had a go. They all found “treasure.” Varying from a 1p coin to a watering can head and even a toy car.
Many thanks to Simon and Ginny, Jill and Karen for their support.

All the children took full advantage of the wonderful opportunity to try wheelchair basketball thanks to the visit of world champion Nat Pattinson.
Children in Class 2 spent Friday at Raisgill Hall Farm learning about dairy farming as part of the sustainable food topic. They learned how the cows are milked, where it's stored and where it goes after that. They also heard of how the farm is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2028. Thanks so much to Lottie for arranging this and to her family and staff for being so welcoming.
One of our most popular afterschool clubs in the Razzmatazz dance and drama club. The children made a fabulous video as part of the club at the end of the summer term. You can follow this link to watch it.
What fun the whole school had with an obstacle course, water slide and water balloon volleyball!
Class 1 had a wonderful day out at the beautiful Leighton Hall where we found out about pollinators and enjoyed forest school activities.
Proceeds from the May 2021 Sponsored Walk will be split between the North West Air Ambulance and The Friends of the school. Nearly £1000 has been pledged in sponsorship, which is an amazing amount for such a small school - well done to everyone for making such a huge effort.
Pictured below are children on each of the three circular walks around our school. Children chose any one of three walks, the longest being 11.2 miles.
