Please can your child write this last diary entry without any support today and then can you send it to me as I would like to know how they are progressing with their independent writing. Many thanks.

Wednesday 3rd June 2020

 

On Wednesday it was a lot cooler and we even had some rain. In the morning I sat at my wooden desk and read some great diaries that my lovely pupils had sent me. In the afternoon I cleaned my house. I took some enormous spiders outside to find a new home. There were also a few noisy flies which were harder to catch!

 

Please write a diary entry for yesterday. Don't forget:

 

  • write the date at the top
  • to say what you are going to write out loud before you write it
  • start sentences with a capital letter and finish with a full stop or exclamation mark
  • use 'and' to join sentences
  • add some describing words
