Life's a blast!

Thanks so much to staff at Hanson for making us welcome at the quarry in Shap this morning. We were lucky enough to experience a blast of 35,000 tonnes of limestone. Pupils watched as exploded material passed through the crushing plant and saw how the whole process is overseen from the control room. What an amazing morning!
