We went to the Salvation Army in Penrith to meet Carole and her volunteers who's Christian mission is to help others.  They told us about all the different ways in which they help to support the community such as lunch clubs, toddler groups, children's church and of course Sunday service.

We were especially excited to see their brand new food bank, now called 'The Nourished Project' which we helped to raise money for when we ran around the school for a whole day!

If anyone requires any food, baby products, toiletries or other support, Carole strongly encourages you to come forward as they would be glad to help.

Rag Tag Arts Clay Workshop

Class 1 had the most wonderful time exploring clay today.  They practiced a wide range of skills then used what they had learned to make a Diva Lamp as part of our topic on Festivals.  Many thanks to Emily at Rag Tag Arts.
